The latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons in-game event has begun, and once again it’s an all-new inclusion to the franchise. Celebrating International Museum Day, players will be able to participate in a miniature stamp rally from May 18th-31st. We break down everything you need to know to speed through the stamp rally without any difficulty.
What is the International Museum Day Stamp Rally?
In Japan, stamp rallies are a fun activity that takes place in locations all over the country. One of the most iconic series of stamp rallies occurs on Tokyo’s JR lines and tasks participants with visiting different stations in different cities to stamp a pamphlet in order to redeem it for a prize. Stamp rallies can also occur at malls, theme parks, museums, and other locations.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons stamp rally occurs in the museum, and to get started all you need to do is speak with blathers any day from May 18th to May 31st. Once you’ve spoken with him you’ll have access to the different stamp rally card, which tasks you with finding 3 stamp stations in different areas of the fish, fossil, and bug sections of the museum.
Once you fill in your stamp card in each section, you can speak with blathers again to redeem them for a prize. You can participate in the stamp rally once per day but the prizes will not change and you’ll be rewarded with duplicates of the same items.
Where are the Different Stamp Stations Located?
Each day you participate in the stamp rally, the different stations you have to locate will be randomly assigned on your stamp rally card. Below is a list & images of each of the different stamp stations you can be tasked with locating.

What are the Prizes You Can Earn in the Stamp Rally?
Upon completing the different stamp cards and speaking to Blathers daily you will earn one of 3 different plaques designated to each museum section. These are the only prizes available for the event, but if you would like to earn more than one of each you can participate daily during the duration of the event. These are wall-mounted furniture items that sell for 300 bells and cannot be customized or used as a doorplate.
All in all, the International Museum Day Stamp Rally is a short, simple, and fun addition to the franchise. The museum in New Horizons is already leaps and bounds more impressive than in previous games, but having this little additional reason to visit is a really nice touch. It’s a little disappointing that there is only one prize to earn from each section, but hopefully, Nintendo will change that prize up each year. Only time will tell!
