As we reported last year, Bandai Namco was scheduled to hold their second festival in February titled BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Festival 2nd. It was slated to be a festival surrounding all things Bandai Namco complete with musical entertainment. Today they took to the official homepage for the event and their official Twitter account to announce that due to the recently announced State of Emergency in Tokyo and surrounding areas, they have no choice but to postpone the event.

Bandai Namco posted the following on the official event website:
Thank you very much for your continued patronage of NAMCO BANDAI Entertainment.
In light of the current situation of coronavirus infection and the declaration of a state of emergency by the Japanese government on Thursday, January 7, we have decided to postpone the ‘BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Festival 2nd,’ which was scheduled to be held at Tokyo Dome from February 6 (Sat.) to 7 (Sun.), 2021, both in front of an audience and via pay-per-view live streaming. We have decided to postpone the event after careful consideration of the health and safety of all visitors to the event venue.
The postponed schedule and other details will be announced on the event’s official website as soon as the postponed schedule is decided.
For those who have purchased tickets for this event, information regarding the handling of tickets for the postponed performance and refunds will be announced on the event’s official website as soon as the details and preparations are ready.
In the event that the postponed performance is canceled due to unavoidable circumstances, tickets will be refunded.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this matter.
Where it is unfortunate to see such a massive event get impacted in the way that it has, the health and safety of not only the guests and staff but the attendees of the event are far more important.I applaud BANDAI NAMCO for making a timely announcement of the postponement and putting the safety of everyone involved ahead of their profits and business.
