Allow me to start this article off by saying this: I love shoes. Like a lot. If I had a never-ending stream of money, I would have to purchase a completely separate apartment for all the shoes that I would buy. But there is one style of shoes that I personally was never a fan of, and those are A BATHING APE‘s BAPE STA line. I mean, sure, they look like Nike Dunk Lows, but they just had this thing about them that never resonated with me. That was until I laid my eyes on the BAPE® x XO BAPE STA™ that the two companies announced today.
I’m sure pretty much everyone has heard of A BATHING APE but maybe not XO. XO is the multi-platinum award-winning music artist The Weeknd‘s label, and they put out some pretty awesome stuff. A BATHING APE put out a press release regarding the drop of these sneakers, and here’s what they had to say:

BAPE® and The Weeknd’s label XO, once again come together to release a special BAPE STA™ for the streetwear brand’s artist collaboration.
The BAPE® x XO BAPE STA™ is designed in patent leather with black/green coloring and white/green coloring and the XO logo subtlety placed on the heel of the BAPE STA™. To top off the subtle details, a special XO lace lock charm was designed just for this collaboration.
When I first saw the shoes, the white and green pair instantly caught my eye. I need to find a way to get these shoes in my life, real talk.
The BAPE® x XO BAPE STA™ will be available at A BATHING APE® locations, US.BAPE.COM, SHOP.THEWEEKND.COM, and BAPE.COM on Saturday 12 December.
