It’s already been a busy year for Japanese girl group BILLIE IDLE®. It was just in January that we saw the five-member group release their latest music video for “Soshite, Mata,,”, and it appears the group is already back in the studio with something new in the works. During their recent fan club-only “BILLIE IDLE® presents “IDLE FELLAS DAY OUT” Vol.1″ event at WALL&WALL, BILLIE IDLE® revealed that they plan to release an all-new single during May 2019.
While information on the upcoming release remains undetailed, the group is about to begin undertaking a nationwide tour consisting of a total of seven performances in four locations. It can’t be said where the group stands with the single’s process, especially with how far away its release is, but if there was ever a place they’d perform it live ahead of release, this might just be it.

Originally formed in 2015 on the heels of alternative-idol group BiS’ disbanding, BILLIE IDLE® was the brainchild of both NIGO® and Watanabe Junnosuke. Featuring former BiS member First Summer Uika and Hirano Nozomi, the group would make their first move in 2015 with their debut single “anarchy in the music scene”. Since then we’ve seen the group travel across Japan, as well as celebrate the recent release of their fifth album “NOT IDOL” towards the end of 2018. We brought BILLIE IDLE® out for OTAQUEST LIVE @ OSAKA-JO HALL at the end of last year and the group absolutely killed it.
