Back at the beginning of September, we were blessed with the announcement for the location test of the newest installment of beatmania IIDX, beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER at Kawasaki’s Silk Hat DICE game center. We had the chance to play the game and we shared our impressions on the pre-release build of the game in our impressions report which you can read here. The theme this time around is food and the game seems to be offering up a delicious portion of new songs that from the short time that I had to play the game, seem to be quite good and add a nice touch to the game’s expansive song list. Now we are almost 2 months removed from the location test and Konami has taken to Twitter this evening to announce that beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER will be hitting Japanese game centers next Thursday, the morning of October 28th.
With each new release of beatmania IIDX fans and players are guaranteed to get additional songs that weren’t available in the location test, some possible changes and quality of life fixes which were shared by players at the location test, as well as everyone’s favorite past time, events that happen in-game to unlock new content. They have also announced two cross-fade music preview videos that will be hitting sometime on Friday the 23rd for the first video and sometime on Monday the 26th for the second.
Aside from announcing the release of BISTROVER, Konami also announced a Twitter re-tweet campaign where based on a specific number of retweets, players will be provided with a boost of “MOG,” the in-game currency to purchase customize parts or q-pro parts though the E-Amusement website.
With October 28th right around the corner, I am beyond stoked to get my hands on beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER and will be doing a full report of the final release of the game once it hits my local game center next Thursday. Until then, I still have a number of songs that I have left to unlock in beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE, so I guess I know what I’m doing this weekend.
