One of the breakout anime series of last year was Studio TRIGGER‘s BNA series. The series takes place in a time when humanoid animals called Beastmen exist and are revealed to the world after living in darkness for hundreds of years. The story circulates around the protagonist Michiru, a girl who is a normal high schooler one minute, and a beastman the next. Throughout the story, we meet several characters, but possibly the most important is Shirou Ogami, a wolf beastman Michiru encounters upon arriving in Anima City. Their meeting begins Michiru’s investigation and continues a series of strange events. Today, Premium Bandai has announced a beautiful new figure of both Michiru and Shirou.
The figure is everything that you would come to expect from a Premium Bandai figure. Exquisite detail, beautiful colors, and an even more beautiful setting to boot. The figure itself sees Michiru sitting on the ledge of a building holding a basketball, with Shirou standing in the background behind Michiru. Premium Bandai issued the following statement about the upcoming figure:
From the TRIGGER original animation series ‘BNA’ comes a diorama figure of Michiru Kagemori and Shiro Ogami. The figures have been sculpted with the familiar image of the two characters looking down on the city from the top of a building. Each of the figures has been sculpted in accordance with the image based on the manga, and even their costumes and bodies have been carefully detailed. The pedestal and the diorama of the building are both based on the coloring from the manga and have been colored to look as if they were slightly lit by the sun in the evening. The result is a visually stunning piece, and a must-have item for fans.
The Michiru and Shirou BNA figure kicks off preorders on 13 February 2021 and will be available for ¥13,200 (approx. $129.99 USD). The figure is scheduled to start shipping in September 2021. Not all Premium Bandai items are available to ship internationally, but with the popularity of BNA, I would be surprised if some international distributors didn’t pick it up. If all else fails, you can always reach out to a friend or employ a proxy to pick it up for you.
