There are many music games in the market (sometimes I think that there may even be too many) but very few hold the same reverie and fanbase that SEGA‘s Chunithm does. The game is a strictly arcade based game with no home versions available, much due in part to the control mechanism that the game uses being a touch panel and sensors that are lined on the sides of the machine and that judge the height and movement of your hands. The game has some of the best music that there is in a music game, which is completely confined to that title. But that’s all about to change as Neowiz from Korea has announced and put out a trailer for the Chunithm DLC pack coming to DJ MAX RESPECT/V on Steam.
The DLC pack was initially teased towards the end of November, but there were no details given about what the pack would contain. Today they dropped a trailer for the DLC pack and now we know exactly what we’re going to be getting.
For starters, there will be a Chunithm based skin that will theme the base DJ MAX RESPECT/V game in a complete Chunithm fashion. Next up, the meat and potatoes of the DLC is the inclusion of six songs that are from Chunithm. Those songs are:
‘Garakuta Doll Play’ / t+pazolite
‘Cyberozar’ / sakuzyo
‘The wheel to the right’ / Sampling Masters Mega
‘Ikazuchi’ / Takenobu Mitsuyoshi
‘Trrriksters!!’ / s-don vs. Hino Isuka
Interestingly enough, there is also a track by the name of ‘Ray Tuning’ which I could only imagine being an English translation of the Chunithm song ‘光線チューニング'(Kousen Tuning).
The Chunithm DLC pack for DJ MAX RESPECT/V will be launching on Steam on 10 December 2020. The pricing for the pack is a little bit cheaper than the previous DLC, coming in at a fair $9.99. There has yet to be any word on if this is coming to the PS4 version of the game.
