While some might argue against the belief that idol groups are pretty much musical cults, it seems CY8ER is fully embracing it. That is, if their latest “Dead Boy, Dead Girl” music video is anything to go by. Dropped over the weekend on ICIGOSTYLE’s official YouTube account, the latest from CY8ER is definitely a little on the spooky side, but it all comes together as what might be one of the group’s best releases to date.
Honestly, if somebody told me that CY8ER’s next release would see Yunomi produce a spooky beat, I wouldn’t have believed it. But here we are, all five members of CY8ER in one of their best performances to date, as well as hands down their best music videos. It’s funny watching this music video too — just imagine the looks of people in Shibuya as a swarm of all-white, mask-wearing people walked through the streets, instructed by none other than a Chloma-fitted Rinahamu. To say it would be a sight to see would be an understatement.
With this being CY8ER’s first release of the year, there’s no doubting that some big releases are on the horizon. Given the group’s track record it’s unlikely their next release will disappoint, and with how good this was, that can only mean great things.
Set to release on all major streaming platforms on February 26 in Japan, definitely don’t miss out on CY8ER’s killer new single “Dead Boy, Dead Girl”. Those interested in checking out further information, be sure to hit up the group’s official website.
