Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 2 for the PlayStation 2 and Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party for the Wii arrive today.
Konami’s being a bit vague this year most likely due to moving their staff around so the information this year is quite hidden away from us, unfortunately. You should take it in stride though, since it isn’t spoiling anything.
For starters, there were no V-Rares announced but word about the bulletin boards are that V-Rares are supposedly coming with the game you’ve pre-ordered to tackle the problem of having a shortage of them for various and obvious reasons.
Next, it seems that there’s some confusion over what exactly is being sold today. There’s at least SN2 and HP in bundle form today, which is pretty solid. Hottest Party as a standalone game should be coming around October 10th, which is good news for those still seeking out an adapter to plug their pad/platform into the Wii. As for SN2, we’re hoping the standalone game is available like it’s always been the last few years.
Lastly, Konami’s updated their Japanese Hottest Party site today with a few more songs:
Candy (UFO Mix) – The Sweetest
Confession – trance star
let it out – true dreamer
Beautiful Inside (Cube::Hard Mix) – NM feat. Alison Wade
LOVE SHINE (Body Grooverz 2006 mix) – W.W.S [World Wide Style]
I’m assuming these are all KOs. The above songs have their songwheel sample available to be heard and there’s a video of Love Shine. In the video, it’s apparent that Konami has gone back and refined some of the icons. The “disco ball” icon now looks like an arrow with the sides of the disco ball spliced open, leaving only its sides. Or you could say it looks like a pair of headphones.

As usual, there are discussion threads on the ready for these two games prepared for game discussion.
