DÉ DÉ MOUSE Collaborates With Rock Band LITE for New Single

DÉ DÉ MOUSE LITE

A new DÉ DÉ MOUSE track is a cause for celebration, but a new single collaborating with one of Japan’s most exhilarating rock bands? Uncork the champagne.

Much like OTAQUEST favorite DÉ DÉ MOUSE, instrumental rock band LITE is no stranger to experimentation. Their sixteen-year discography makes it impossible to place them into a specific genre’s box; they have created music with a ferocity and uniqueness all their own.

Released today, 19 May, ‘Samidare’ marks the first collaboration between the two, though the artists have been in touch for some time. A mash-up bordering on hypnotic, it effortlessly combines trancelike guitar riffs with aggressive beats, said to be a song with a theme of ‘dance music meets emo.’ This track doesn’t request attention; it demands it.

This Friday, 21 May, LITE and DÉ DÉ MOUSE will be performing the track at ‘YOU MAKE SHIBUYA VIRTUAL MUSIC LIVE,’ a continuing online event taking place in a VR live house. Since 31 March, over 100 artists have been featured.
