The second stage play of the massively popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is set to take place in August. Today, we got our first look at the costumes the characters will be wearing and a new key visual.
The stage play will be running in Tokyo from 7 to 15 August, in Osaka from 20 to 22 August, and then again in Tokyo from 27 to 31 August.
The new key visual for the stage play (above) has a much more ominous vibe to it. There is just something sinister about the way the coloring is done that really stands out to me. We also get to see Tanjiro using his Water Breathing technique at the center bottom of the visual.
We also got to see each of the individual characters in their costumes. I feel like they look quite similar to the anime/manga characters!

The series had its first stage play adaptation a little over a year ago in January 2020. With the second season of Demon Slayer set to hit Japanese airwaves this fall with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yukaku-hen, the stage play will keep the anticipation at an all-time high for fans of the series as it will be held just a few months before the airing of the second season.
The second stage will be directed by Kenichi Suemitsu (he is also writing the script). Shunsuke Wada will be returning to provide the music.
With a fairly star-studded cast, very well written scripts, magically composed music, and hype that has never been seen before for a series, the upcoming Stage Play Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Part 2 -Bonds- is looking at being a contender for quite possibly the best stage play adaptation yet.
