Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer Hinokami Kepputan (or Demon Slayer-Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles as it’s called internationally) has finally officially been announced to be getting a North American release on 15 October 2021.
Demon Slayer-Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is being developed by Aniplex and CyberConnect2 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. The title was announced last year and had an ambiguous 2021 release date for Japan until a few days back. We already knew that it was coming to Asian territories thanks to SEGA, but we were left in the dark for a North American release. SEGA announced that they’ll also be bringing the game to North America on 15 October 2021! SEGA has outlined the game as follows:
Become the blade that destroys demons!
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a ‘demon slayer’ so that he can turn his sister back into a human and kill the demon that massacred his family.
A sorrowful tale of siblings in which the fates of humans and demons intertwine… begins now!
The Hinokami Chronicles is a spectacular arena fighter from the team at CyberConnect2 that lets players relive the memorable moments of ‘Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc’ and ‘Mugen Train Arc.’
Follow Tanjiro through the story from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime as he faces demons in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human.
With 15 October 2021 just around the corner, we only have a little more time to wait until we can relive the story with Tanjiro all over again.
