NIS Share First Overview Trailer for ‘Destiny Connect’

Destiny Connect

Destiny Connect is a brand new RPG from Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) that was first announced last month. Although the game has been delayed 2 weeks from it’s initial February 28th launch date to a March 14th 2019 release, the company has provided eager players with a brand new trailer to tide them over in the meantime. This trailer provides us with a brief synopsis for the story and look at the world as well as some of the characters in this game.

Set in the city of Clockney on December 31st 1999, time stops for the city as the clock strikes midnight and the new millennia begins. To bring time back to the city, Sherry, a 10-year-old girl who lives in the city, must travel through time to different periods of the city in order to bring time back to her era.

Alongside showcasing some of the characters and introducing us to the story we also got to see some of the mechanics and gameplay. One of these mechanics is the ability for Sherry’s robotic friend, found in her father’s house and named Isaac, to wear various new costumes that provide them with new abilities. While this promotional video only shows a fireman, samurai, cowboy and boxer outfit, there will be more outfits on offer in the final game.

Destiny Connect is a title I’ve been paying close attention to ever since it was revealed. Something about the visual style and concept for the game has me wanting to know more, and I’m in love with the character designs too. It looks like it has the potential to be a rather charming RPG.
