Calling this ‘good news’ doesn’t seem to be a strong enough statement: the final Evangelion film will finally be accessible to international audiences on 13 August.
The film will be available in over 240 countries and territories outside of Japan, and will be exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Dubbed in ten languages and subtitled in 28, users around the world will finally be able to get the closure they deserve.
The previous three films, EVANGELION:1.11 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE., EVANGELION:2.22 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE., and EVANGELION:3.33 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO will also be available to rent or purchase.
EVANGELION:3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME opened in Japan on 8 March, and completely dominated the box office for months to come, with fans anxious to see the long-anticipated climax of the film saga, which began in 2007. As of 20 June, it has made over $84 million.
After waiting for so many years, what’s another six weeks?
