Event: FULL CHAIN! A Groove Coaster 4: Starlight Road Tournament 2/16 at Round1 PHM

FULL CHAIN is Southern California’s biggest and best community driven Groove Coaster 4: Starlight Road tournament. Since 2013, Groove Coaster has captured the hearts and minds of arcade goers young and old. Combining fast and frenetic gameplay, with stunning dynamic visuals! It has become a fan favorite game at all current North American Round1 locations says tournament organizer, Zannzabar.

Today, the community begins the search for the best Groove Coaster 4: Starlight Road player in North America with FULL CHAIN! Entry is COMPLETELY FREE and is open to arcade players of ALL SKILL LEVELS.

Rules

Players MUST provide their own credits to play each match.

  • No credits available at the time of match = automatic match loss. **NO EXCEPTIONS**

  • Players will play in “Local Multiplayer” mode simultaneously on-site

Double elimination

Two (2) songs per match

  • Highest combined total score wins match

  • NO items allowed

  • ALL Ad-Lib Skins, Navigators, and Avatars allowed

  • ALL Ad-Lib noises allowed

Remote Qualifier 1

  • Qualifier period: October 15, 2018 – November 30, 2018
  • 君のStarlight Road / セイネ (CV: 河上英里子) [HARD] 7

Remote Qualifier 2

  • Qualifier period: December 1,2018 – January 15, 2019
  • You Are The Miserable / t-pazolite [HARD] 12

For everyone that entered a score for Qualifier 1, the final day to submit a score is Tuesday, January 15, 2019

ALL ARCADE players anywhere in the United States are encouraged to enter!

  1. Play the following song on [HARD] at any local Round1 near you

  2. Take a picture displaying your total score

  3. Submit the photo along with player ID (in subject line) via E-mail to [email protected] Please note that ONLY 1 SCORE SUBMISSION CAN BE SENT IN. Play the song as many times as you want all while taking pictures. Only submit your highest score on the song once.


Remote Qualifier 2

  • Qualifier period: December 1, 2018 – January 15, 2018

Top 50 players from RQ1 will be invited via E-mail


 

On-Site Qualifier/Tournament Date & Location

  • Saturday February 16th, 2019
    Round1 Puente Hills Mall, 1600 S. Azusa Ave City of Industry, CA

Tournament: The top 10 players from the OSQ will be entered in a double elimination tournament shortly after the OSQ has concluded

Seeding: RANDOM

Song Selection

Songs will be chosen by players prior to their match-

  • ALL songs will be played at HIGHEST AVAILABLE DIFFICULTY FOR BOTH PLAYERS

  • Song must have a MINIMUM difficulty level of 10

  • Every individual player may select ANY song (Lv. 10 or higher), once and only once throughout the tournament. Player 1 and player 2 will each receive one choice of a level 10 or higher song to play per match. When either player selects a song, their song of choice can no longer be selected by the same player at any point in any match for the remainder of the tournament
