The people behind the anime series Fire Force released a new visual and introduced two new voice actors on Tuesday (Japan time).
The shonen series (a.k.a. En En no Shobotai) is currently more than halfway through its second season, which began in July.
Given that we have already reached episode 18 of season 2, it seems likely that the next big story arc will likely be the final climatic arc of the season, if not the whole series.
Depending upon who you ask, the next arc is either called the Joint Investigation Arc, or the Operation Nether Investigation Arc.
In any case, the next Fire Force episode on Nov. 7 will be The Oze Family. One of the two new actors introduced this week will be playing Takigi Oze. Oze is the one on the left in the new visual.
Yuki Ono will provide the voice for Oze.
Ono is best-known as Josuke Higashikata in the Diamond is Unbreakable season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. He also portrays John H. Watson in Moriarty the Patriot, and Louis in Beastars, among other roles.
Takigi Oze is a detective and the older brother of Special Fire Force Company 8’s Maki Oze.
Kohsuke Toriumi will play Hajiki, the platoon chief of Company 2.
According to reports, this friendly and easy-going chief will lead a search team investigating the Netherworld.
Toriumi voiced Kiba in Naruto, Imaizumi in Yowamushi Pedal, and Flashy Flash in One Punch Man.
In the last remaining six episodes of Fire Force season 2, we can expect to see Company 8 once again attempt to investigate the “Nether,” the abandoned former subway system underneath Tokyo. Maki will have an important subplot as well.
The anime is based upon Atsushi Okubo’s manga series. Okubo has stated that he expects Fire Force to be his final manga.
Fire Force is available at both Crunchyroll and Funimation.
