Tokyo Banana Makes Giant Pikachu Plushes for Twitter Campaign

Giant Pikachu Tokyo Banana

Back in December we shared the news that Pikachu-themed Pokémon Tokyo Banana snacks would be hitting the shelves of Japanese 7-Eleven stores nationwide. They sold out in an instant and caused them to make a completely new batch of them so fans can get their hands on them. It seems that snacks are not enough, as they are now making a giant Pikachu Tokyo Banana body pillow plush.

The giant Tokyo Banana plush is being made available as part of a Twitter campaign fronted by the official Tokyo Banana account. The campaign is being conducted to commemorate the popularity of Pikachu Tokyo Banana, the first product in the new ‘Pokémon Tokyo Banana’ sweets series from Tokyo Banana World. Twenty-five winners will be selected by lottery to receive a Pikachu Tokyo Banana Mega Dakimakura, which is approximately 120 cm in size. All you have to do is follow the ‘Tokyo Banana [Official]’ Twitter account (@tokyobanana1991) and re-tweet the campaign post to be eligible to win. The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. on 17 April 2021.

I took a look at the official rules for the event, and I didn’t see anything stating that you have to be a resident of Japan to enter. However, if you are chosen as a winner, you need to have a Japanese address to ship the product to. So if you plan on entering, please make sure that you have a friend in Japan that you can ship the product to.
