glamb Launches Evangelion Collaboration Capsule Collection

Over the last few months, we’ve seen an incredible variety of Evangelion collaborations—everything from underwear to instant cup ramen to a Fender Telecaster guitar. Even Honda got involved with a special Evangelion x Civic model and advertising campaign. There’s been plenty of clothing capsules as well. Just over a month ago, Mac-House released a whole line of embroidered tees and accessories highlighting the series’ Evas. A month before that, LEGENDA dropped a series of t-shirts featuring screenshots and iconography from the legendary anime series.

The most recent collaboration comes from the Harajuku-based Japanese streetwear brand glamb.  The popular “Grunge for Luxury” brand has been thriving in Tokyo’s fashion scene since 2003 with its consistent, innovative collaborations with bands, artists, and anime franchises. The theme of this latest capsule is Evangelion × Street Art—which consists of a hoodie alongside six different t-shirt designs.

The brand has created a special page for the Evangelion collaboration that contains product information and more about the collection’s unique concept.

The characters from the series have been re-imagined with a graffiti-style combination of watercolor, typography, and various fine-art mediums to express each of the character’s individual traits as artwork. The collection features Rei, Asuka, Shinji, Mari, Kaworu, and Evangelion Unit-01 on t-shirts as well as Lilith on a hoodie.

The tees retail for ¥7,590 each and come in four sizes (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4). The Lilith hoodie is available in the same four sizes for ¥22,000. All items are available in both a black and a white version. You can shop the full collection on the glamb online shop. International shipping is available through FJ (FROM JAPAN).

There are certainly more collaborations in store for Evangelion with the release of the final Evangelion movie looming. Make sure to follow OTAQUEST for the latest updates about the upcoming Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 movie—which was recently delayed due to the coronavirus. No new official release date for the movie has been announced yet.
