If you like Mudkips (and Treecko, and Torchic, and all of the other Hoenn Pokémon), you’re going to like this new collection of plushies. On Friday, the Pokémon Center introduced the fourth series of Pokémon Fit plush toys. There are 141 of them, including different forms for Deoxys and Castform. After all, you can’t have Normal Castform and leave Rainy, Sunny, and Snowy out.
Pokémon Fit plushies are palm-sized plushies weighted with microbeads, which allows them to sit up without falling over. They are known in the United States as Sitting Cuties.
The new plushies will be available at the Pokémon Center on 30 January 2021. However, they will start taking orders on 28 January. You can find the U.S. English online version here (Canadians go here, eh). There are also various physical Pokémon Center locations around Japan, and one in Singapore.
When the new plushies come out, The Pokémon Center will also have a special ‘Me & My Partner’ campaign to celebrate (probably just in Japan). Details haven’t come out yet.
Gotta Catch ‘Em All
With the addition of the Hoenn Pokémon, there are now 419 Pokémon included in the entire Pokémon Fit series.
There were 30 in the original July 2018 series, including Pikachu, Meowth, Jigglypuff, Geodude, and Ditto. All 30 were from Pokémon Red and Green (i.e. the Kanto Region). The remaining 121 Red and Green Pokémon were released in November 2018, bringing the total up to 151. A third collection was released in June 2019 with 127 characters from Gold and Sliver. Unown alone had 28 different varieties. Presumably, if there is another series of Pokémon Fit plushies, that would be the Sinnoh Region, followed by Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar.
