Konami Rolls Out Play Video Saving for Beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER

KONAMI is going all-in with their e-sports initiative and making some crazy moves if you ask me, starting with their Arena Mode back in beatmania IIDX 25 CANNON BALLERS, and then with the announcement of their e-sports league BEMANI Pro League. Today they announced that anyone can now save videos of their play on a per-song basis on Lightning Model cabinets for a nominal fee. This is an awesome move, especially for players who play on a machine without a capture card and are looking to share their skills with the world.

The process is quite simple. On the touch panel sub-monitor, there is going to be a new option present, an icon for saving videos. Once tapped, you will have some terms and conditions to agree to, and then you’re off to the races. On the song select screen, there will be a new option at the top of the screen which will indicate the song that you have chosen is going to be recorded.

IIDX Video Save 1

If you wish to save the recording of your IIDX play, you will have to pay one credit or ¥100 in Paseli. After your play, you will get a confirmation that the video has been saved and the option to pay to save it. Once you log into the e-amusement portal, you will have the option to download the video to your phone or your computer. KONAMI states that due to certain situations, it may take up to a day for the video to be available for download.

IIDX 28 BISTROVER Video Save 2

Once available, you will have a week to download the video to your computer or phone.

IIDX 28 BISTROVER Video Save 3

This is a huge step in the right direction for KONAMI as they’re looking to expand their e-sports offerings. The video saving functionality is now available on all Lightning Model cabinets running beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER.
