I’m not the biggest Animal Crossing New Horizons player there is out there (I think that’s reserved for our Editor-in-Chief). But there have been some things that creators in Japan have done in the recent past that I feel are absolutely awesome, like CHLOMA and XLARGE making their lines available as in-game clothing. Today, I stumbled upon something that I haven’t seen done before: a ramen chain making their own themed island. This is exactly what Japanese ramen chain Ippudo Ramen has done with Ippu Island.
Ippudo Ramen is a chain ramen restaurant that can be found throughout Japan and even in some locations in the United States. They specialize in a style of ramen called Hakata Style Ramen and are regarded as one of the best Japanese ramen chains. Ippudo created Ippu Island hoping that more people around the world will continue to enjoy ramen and that it will provide an exciting place for ramen lovers around the world.
The ramen chain had the following to say about Ippu Island:
We hope that those who enjoy Ippu Island on a daily basis will visit it when it is open to the public, receive their own designs to distribute, and follow our SNS account to get them in the mood to eat ramen.
We’ll be serving hot ramen at the store and ramen sets that can be easily made at home on our online store. You can even take delivery (through Demaekan) while playing the game!
I don’t know about you, but I love my ramen, and seeing things like this really makes me want to get back into Animal Crossing New Horizons. Let’s hope that more brands do things like this; it really adds to the game’s sense of realism.
