Japanese Designer & Illustrator Jenny Kaori Drops “Break Barriers” Collab With Adidas

Jenny Kaori x Adidas

Adidas has had a streak of teaming up with Japanese artists who have a unique style & attitude as of late, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Dropping today in Japan is a new collection of 4 items designed by illustrator Jenny Kaori.

Some fans in the US may recognize Jenny Kaori’s style from her past work with Shibuya based fashion brand, galaxxxy, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Alongside her original work, she’s also done collaborations with iconic properties like Betty Boop & FLCL, companies like Adobe & FUJIFILM, and the k-pop group EXID. Her unique style stands out amongst the crowd thanks to her incredibly cool illustrations and powerful use of color. Her illustrations often feature girls dripping with an attitude and style that comes through in spades while still maintaining a simple and cute aesthetic. This incredibly unique style is at the forefront of this new collection, as you can see from the images below.

On her official twitter, Jenny Kaori states that the designs featured in the “BREAK BARRIERS” drop are focused on the “coolness” and “playfulness” hidden in women with an emphasis on breaking past the norms of femininity.

The collection is officially on sale via the official Adidas web store with hoodies setting you back 9,889¥ and the t-shirts priced at 6,589¥.

If you want to check out more of Jenny Kaori’s work (which I highly recommend), you can find her on Twitter and Instagram, or check out her official website!
