With the upcoming JUMP FORCE fighter just days away, it’d only be fitting that two of the game’s most necessary characters would receive their own trailer. While we reported just the other day that both Jotaro Kuji and Dio Brando would be joining the already massive roster of Weekly Shonen Jump all-stars in JUMP FORCE, the pair today received their own hyper-paced trailer on Bandai Namco Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.
The very first thing you’ll notice in this character trailer is just how high-paced the fight sequence is, complete with all the poses, catchphrases, and screams you’d expect from our debut look at two of JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure’s most iconic characters. Both Star Platinum and The World make their appearances too, as well as a certain Road Roller all the way from Egypt. If I was to ever pick up this game, these would definitely be my go-to characters.
While I’m still not completely sold on JUMP FORCE as a fighter, I must admit it is quite a remarkable feat, especially with such a stacked roster. There are a few characters missing that likely didn’t make the cut because they aren’t major shonen staples of the weekly magazine, but it’d be cool to see them implement long-time favorites such as Arale from Dr. Slump, Ai from Video Girl Ai, and a few others — even if only as assist characters.
Set to release February 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, there’s been an ongoing wave of excitement amongst fans of Shonen Jump for the last few months, especially fueled by the consistent character announcements pulling from all regions of Weekly Shonen Jump’s extensive catalog.
