JUMP FORCE Launch Trailer Pulls No Punches

Jump Force Receives Launch Trailer and Complete Roster Trailer

With people around the world already playing Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft’s latest all-star fighting title Jump Force, we today saw two new trailers released for the game ahead of its official February 15 release. It’d only be fitting that to coincide with the launch of Jump Force for those who pre-ordered the game we’d be seeing a launch trailer, but joining it today was a complete breakdown of the game’s forty-character strong roster with a new trailer for that too.

While we reported earlier today that players weren’t too impressed at all with the way cutscenes handle in this game, often featuring floating animations and poorly mapped movements, we can at least say that the fight scenes look pretty good at first glance. I’m not sure if it’s because these scenes could be pre-rendered or if it’s just an actual part of the game, but especially around the Yugi character reveal you can see his opponent Dio’s character model losing all control for a brief moment before they move onto the next character.

Even though I wasn’t completely onboard with the game when it was first announced, simply being impressed that all these characters could even crossover in the same universe was enough to keep me wanting to stay on top of the news related to it. But while I am largely reserving just how I feel until I actually get to play the game outside of a showroom floor, I will say that the launch trailer does an excellent job of getting you excited for what could be.

Set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on February 15, those interested in checking out further information on Bandai Namco’s latest offerings should leap over to Jump Force’s official website.
