Khara released two new 90-second trailers for Evangelion 3.0+1.0, showing off different aspects of the movie. Each trailer depicts something different with the first trailer kind of showing off the human emotion side of things and the second trailer showing the more primal side of things.
Evangelion 3.0+1.0 has been out in Japanese movie theaters for almost a month now and continues to print money, seeing that it has made over 6 billion yen since its release.
The first trailer, which Khara has lovingly named ‘Trailer A’, shows the human side of Evangelion 3.0+1.0. We see the characters, we see the setting, we see how the mental barrier between things gets challenged. I think this is an absolutely fantastic contrast to show between the two different trailers.
The second trailer, equally lovingly named ‘Trailer B’, shows a completely different side of things. You can sense the tense emotion, fear, anxiety, and overall drama that has overcome the story. This is a perfect fit to the more ‘peaceful’ Trailer A.
I really appreciate the fact that Khara is still promoting the movie as heavily, if not more, than they were before the release. It really goes to show just how much they believe in their product. With this being the final Evangelion film, and quite possibly the final Evangelion ever, why wouldn’t you want to make it last as long as you could?
