Konami Announces Dates for the 10th Konami Arcade Championship

The 10th KONAMI Arcade Championship

Konami finally shared today the dates that they will be holding The 10th Konami Arcade Championship event.

Normally the event is held each year at JAEPO, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, not only was Konami not able to hold their annual tournament, JAEPO as a whole was canceled. Now, Konami is sharing that the 10th Konami Arcade Championship will be held on 17 and 18 July 2021 with the third day happening on 22 July 2021.

The 10th KONAMI Arcade Championship

The Konami Arcade Championship is a tournament that takes place every year and where the ‘top player’ of each of their BEMANI titles is decided. Each game under the BEMANI umbrella, and some of Konami’s other e-Amusement connected games such as Quiz Magic Academy and Bombergirl, are utilized for the tournament.

Konami has already stated that the event will be online-only with no fans of the series being able to attend the tournament as they have held in the past. With the current COVID-19 situation in Japan, I feel that this is probably the best move that they could have done.

Konami has yet to announce where they will be streaming the event, but my best bet would be YouTube, considering that’s where they currently stream all of their events.
