A little less than two years after the heinous arson attack on Kyoto Animation, the company is starting to gather its footing again and has announced that it will be holding the KYOANI Music Festival this coming November.
The KYOANI Music Festival is Kyoto Animation’s fifth-ever fan-appreciation event and their first music festival and will be held from 20 November 2021 through 21 November 2021. The company released an announcement trailer for the event which honestly doesn’t give too much information aside from the fact that they will be holding their first-ever music event.
As of the time of this writing, Kyoto Animation has not announced any of the lineup that will be participating in the event, however, we do know that artists that have performed the opening and ending themes for their popular series will be front and center for the event.
The KYOANI Music Festival will be held at the Rome Theatre in Kyoto, Japan. As of the time of this writing, the event is advertised as an in-person event with no mention of the event being streamed to the world in any capacity. Kyoto Animation also outlines that they will be following Japan’s COVID-19 guidelines and things may change depending on the situation of things. Either way you look at it, it’s a great thing to see the company getting back on its feet.
