When you think Halloween in Japan, there’s usually one thing that comes to mind: partying. Generally speaking, some of the hardest holiday-related events tend to occur around the spooky season, and this year is gearing up to be no exception. Much like last year, Sanrio Puroland is looking to drop its kid-oriented facade and welcome to creatures of the night when they run this year’s SPOOKY PUMPKIN 2019 〜PURO ALL NIGHT HALLOWEEN PARTY〜 that brings a surprisingly legitimate slice of Tokyo’s club offerings to the Hello Kitty theme park.
Taking place at Sanrio Puroland in Tama Center, Tokyo, SPOOKY PUMPKIN 2019 〜PURO ALL NIGHT HALLOWEEN PARTY〜 will see a stacked roster of established and emerging talent take to the theme park for an all-night event. From 10:00 pm to 05:00 am the event will be running at the theme park which, mind you, usually closes its doors at sunset. While the full lineup is yet to be announced, we’re currently seeing 19 artists locked in for the event.

Having made my way to Sanrio Puroland a couple of times in the past, I genuinely can’t even to begin to imagine the vibe of an all-night event held there. There’s definitely space, and I can picture it getting pretty wild, but I’ll definitely have to see how this event plays out with my own eyes. With such a stacked lineup though, I’m sure it’ll be a great time.
