Celebrations for Puella Mega Madoka Magica anime reaching 10 years old this year (in fact, the anniversary of episode 3 was just a few days ago) are underway, including new merch in a large-scale collaboration with Felissimo.
With Madoka now 10 years old and a number of anniversary events planned, merchandizing was bound to factor into the equation in some form. With a lot of collaborations and figures in the past, however, the biggest question was always going to be exactly what form this would take. With a collaboration between Felissimo and the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series, we will soon receive everything from clothing and teacups to, eerm, toilet paper.
Felissimo’s mix of homeward and fashion merchandise is designed to capture the world of the Witch from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and you can see this from what’s on offer. The dress, for example, is a subtle monochrome collage of images from the series that take place within the Witch’s Labyrinth. Various pouches made to look like donuts are designed to look like they’re from Charlotte’s Labyrinth, while the hair clips, clothes line accessories, and flying TV cushion are all similarly seen in the show as motifs or creatures within the various Labyrinths.
The toilet paper in question? Well, that features the designs of the Witches from Gekidan Inu Curry directly, beyond allusions to the series’ unique visuals, as do the towels on offer. All the merchandise in some way captures the world of the Witches, that is just one of the ways the series has successfully been able to stand out among its contemporaries, and why it remains so influential years later.
All of these items in this Puella Magi Madoka Magica collaboration are now available to order directly from Felissimo’s online store, and you can view the full collection of items over at the store. All the items on offer look like both practical and a stylish way to show off your love for the anime on its 10th anniversary.
