Hot on the tails of the Pikachu-themed dessert announcements, McDonalds’s Japan announced that they are also going to be rolling out Pikachu-themed Happy Meal sets as well.
McDonald’s Japan is constantly playing home to many huge collaborations with some of the most popular series in Japan. From Touch to Doraemon, it really seems like there is no franchise that is off-limits to the fast-food chain.
The new Pikachu collaboration Happy Meals will come with toys in two phases. The first phase is kicking off tomorrow 11 June 2021 and will feature a series of the Pikachu Balance Challenge, Pikachu Dunk Basketball Set, and the Pikachu Dash. The second wave of toys kicks off on 18 June 2021 and will feature the Pikachu Ball Attack, Pikachu Janken Attack, and the Pikachu Trick Wanage. On top of all of this, if you purchase one of the sets this coming weekend on 12 June 2021 and 13 June 2021 you will receive a special tag for use in Pokémon Mezastar.
McDonald’s Japan really has some of the best toys for kids in their Happy Meal sets, and it would be awesome if these Pikachu Happy Set toys found their way in the United States at some point.
