It’s not every day that you see Studio TRIGGER making animated trailers for video games, but that’s exactly what is happening with the upcoming title Metallic Child.
There really isn’t much known about the title. Developer Studio HG and publisher Crest have shared the following:
Having started this game, you accidentally connected with the android ‘Rona’ who is seeking help in the Universe.
Controlling Rona, who is unable to move on her own, you helped her in fighting against the rebellions of man-made robots in the space laboratory ‘Life Stream.’ With the use of various weapons and core abilities in defeating huge enemies, you are getting closer to the truth behind the rebellion.
You are the only one who can help her.
The animated trailer for Metallic Child is everything you would expect from Studio TRIGGER, all the way down to the sparkling star effects that are prominent in many of TRIGGER’s animations. I think it’s fair to say that this might be one of the best animated trailers that we’ve seen in a long time.
Metallic Child is slated to release on Nintendo Switch and Steam on 16 September 2021. With Studio TRIGGER on board for the animated trailer, I think we can say that we’re in line for quite an interesting title.
