Today, we finally got word of when Miku Expo 2021 Online is going to be held. Mark your calendars, because the online event will take place on 6 June 2021.
In the ongoing world surrounded by COVID-19, many events are still being canceled outright or being postponed so they can be held in front of a live audience. That will not the case with Miku Expo 2021 as the organizers announced at the beginning of the year that the event is going to be available worldwide online and for free.
The announcement came today ine a press release:
Crypton Future Media, Inc. will hold the online concert HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online of Hatsune Miku on 6 June 2021 (Sunday). This concert will be distributed free of charge from Sapporo so that everyone in Japan and overseas can enjoy it.
HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online will also feature sub-events such as workshops and exhibitions, just like previous HATSUNE MIKU EXPOs. One of the sub-events, ‘MIKU EXPO Digital Stars 2021 Online,’ will be held as the opening of the main online concert. This sub-event, which will be held before each performance, will feature DJ performances by artists from all over the world, with a different style for each of the three performances.

An online gallery of fan art of Hatsune Miku and other PIAPRO characters submitted from all over the world through the SNS hashtag project ‘#MikuWorldGallery’. (Application period: Monday, 31 May, 11:00 – Wednesday, 30 June, 11:00)③ LET’S PAINT 3.0
An online project that allows users to make their own original coloring on a white 3D model of Hatsune Miku with their personal smartphone or tablet. (Application period: 6 June (Sun) 9:00 – 30 June (Wed) 11:00)
With MIKU EXPO 2021 being held exclusively online, there is no reason not to participate. Each of the Miku live events is absolutely amazing and something that needs to be experienced to believe. The event can be watched on the Crypton official Twitch or the Crypton-operated ’39ch’ YouTube Live channel.
