If you can’t wait for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S to begin in July, Kyoto Animation will have ‘Mini-Dora’ short episodes on the KyoAni YouTube channel. The shorts will begin on 7 April.

In addition, they also recently announced that the opening theme song will be ‘Ai no Supreme!’ by J-pop band fhána. The band also did ‘Aozora no Rhapsody,’ the peppy OP for the first season.
The ending theme will be ‘Maid With Dragons❤︎’ by Super Chorogonzu. The members of Super Chorogonzu are Yuki Kuwahara, Maria Naganawa, Yuki Takada, Minami Takahashi, and Tomomi Mineuchi, the voice actors for Tohru, Kanna, Elma, Lucoa, and Ilulu. Or, put another way, the voice actors for the five female dragons on the show will sing the ending theme. Chorogonzu (the four voice actors minus Mineuchi) did the first season ED, ‘Ishukan Communication.’
I’m a fan of both Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and short gag series. So, the idea of a bunch of short Dragon Maid episodes sounds appealing. Judging from the information we have, the Mini-Dora episodes won’t be chibi-fied like Isekai Quartet. Instead, they sound more similar to the Heya Camp episodes of Yuru Camp (short, but no changes to the characters). Either way, it will make a nice appetizer for the new season.
