MIYAVI is bringing fans the next level of his virtual live series: MIYAVI Virtual LIVE Level 3.0. The samurai guitarist has collaborated with the art collective teamLab to become the first artist to perform from the popular teamLab Planets art museum in Tokyo. MIYAVI Virtual LIVE Level 3.0 will premiere on August 28th, 2020 at 20:30 (JST). The show begins at 3:00 PM (PST)—which is 3:00 (MST), 6:00 PM (EST), or 11:00 PM (UK).
MIYAVI has gone all-out with this performance—recording the live with drones to immerse fans in an interactive world of light, music, and art. A teaser featuring teamLab Planet’s newest “Universe of Water Particles Falling from the Sky” piece was released on his official YouTube channel.
The teamLabs Planets art museum provides visitors with an absolutely stunning “Body Immersive” sensory experience that the team describes as follows
By immersing the entire body with other people in these massive “Body Immersive” artworks, the boundary between the body and the artwork dissolves, the boundaries between the self, others, and the world become something continuous, and we explore a new relationship without boundaries between ourselves and the world.
Tickets for MIYAVI Virtual LIVE Level 3.0 cost ¥3,300 (tax-included). Overseas fans can purchase theirs at live.miyavi.com (not www.live.miyavi.com). After purchasing, fans can log in on the MIYAVI website here to access the performance.
Tickets for fans living in Japan are available through TICKET DELI and Thumva. The performance itself will then be streamed through the Thumva platform.
