Within Japan’s massively-diverse arts community there are so many influential talents that you really need to be paying attention to. But while keeping on top of all of them isn’t necessarily the easiest, thankfully there’s usually plenty of galleries to keep you acquainted. One that’s particularly caught our attention is the upcoming MOP! Independent Artist Exhibition which is set to see a slew of creatives flood the streets of Nakameguro, Tokyo with their own creations. Taking place as a limited-time pop-up event, we’d like to hope our readership is acquainted with several of the names on this list, and that they walk away from this familiar with several more.

Taking place at Nakameguro’s Rental Space Sakura on August 10, the limited-time event is set to call on a total of 11 artists from all over. moji8fresh (NUE ZZZ), MOONSANGO, Ryohei Kaneda, and plenty others are set to adorn the lineup, definitely making for an exciting time for those in attendance. The event will be taking place from 11:30 until 18:30 and will have free entry, so there really is no reason for anyone in the Tokyo area to not come to support this incredible roster of creatives.
While it’s always great attending the gallery’s hosted by well-established artists, it’s always a lot of fun seeing just what the independent artists of today are pushing forward for the future. While I personally won’t be in town to visit the gallery, anyone with some free time should definitely make their way over. For those interested in checking out further information on the event, be sure to visit MOP!’s official website.
