Today, AVEX announced that they will stream the next OMOTENASHI MATSURI for free to viewers worldwide. The event has quite the stacked line-up, if you ask me.
This may be an online event, but it’s the closest we can get to the one thing that I severely missed doing during this whole pandemic: going to clubs, taking in the music, and enjoying time with my friends at the venue. Over the last year and a half, many clubs and artists have had to re-think how they make their living and stay relevant during these trying times. Like OMOTENASHI MATSURI, many clubs and artists have turned to the power of the internet to stream their craft and events live to viewers around the world.
OMOTENASHI BEATS, the project that brings the cutting edge of Japanese anime songs, dance music, and club culture to the world, will hold the OMOTENASHI MATSURI DJ festival on Sunday, 14 March! The live stream is completely free to view. The show boasts a lineup that includes acclaimed Japanese female DJs Arisa Komiya, AZK, and Tsunko.

By connecting the club and home environments, OMOTENASHI MATSURI has found fans all around the world, building an ever larger and more exciting buzz with every edition. The word ‘omotenashi’ means ‘hospitality’ in Japanese – and everyone is welcome.
In addition, ahead of the first OMOTENASHI MATSURI party of 2021, the OMOTENASHI BEATS YouTube channel has been spinning into gear. Embracing the very spirit of hospitality the project is named for, the channel has begun publishing digest videos by top-class DJs who have performed at the show so far, spinning a selection of much-loved club hits as well as more unexpected gems.
