Basketball Player Paul George has collaborated with PlayStation several times in the past and the collaborations seem to get more and more appealing with each iteration of the PG x PlayStation shoes.
George has stated:
Creating sneaker collaborations with PlayStation and Nike Basketball has been one of my favorite pastimes in recent years, and I’m so thankful to this community for supporting me and sharing in my passion. Like many of you, I’ve been a die-hard PlayStation fan all my life, so it’s an honor to introduce my newest creative project with my favorite brands: the PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway.
The new PG 5 x PS EP Nike shoes feature a white and blue base with the iconic PS logo on the right shoe’s tongue and the PG logo featured on the left’s. At the base of the shoe on the arch is the PS5 logo on one side and the AIR logo on the opposite. A second blue colorway that will be released as well.
The shoe is slated to be available in ‘select’ global markets on 14 May 2021 and will be hitting retailers nationwide in the United States starting on 27 May 2021. The shoes will retail for a very fair price for Nike shoes at $120.
Nike hasn’t shared the supply numbers. They will go on sale via Nike.com, the SNKRS app, and at certain retail locations, so keep your eyes open wide if you’re interested in finding a pair for yourself. If you’re unable to find one, there is always the second-hand market, but expect to pay a fair amount more than the advertised $120.
