Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most popular anime of all time in Japan, and there has been a huge amount of goods released surrounding the series. Today PROPLICA has announced that they will be releasing a 1:1 scale replica of Kyojiro’s Nichirin Blade, with pre-orders starting on 15 January 2021 at 4 p.m. Japan time. It goes to say that the replica of the blade looks absolutely amazing and has each detail down to the tee.
The blade has been recreated with official supervision from the team behind the series, getting everything rightall the way down to the coloring of the replica. The sword has over 60 different audio phrases and sounds programmed into the blade, which can be activated with the push of a button on the hilt of the sword. The blade comes in at a massive 950mm (37 inches). If you look closely, you can also see the engraving of the characters ‘惡鬼滅殺’ on the bottom of the blade as well. Needless to say, if you’re a fan of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, this is definitely an item that you’re going to want to have in your collection.
The scale replica of Kyojiro’s Nichirin Blade isn’t absurdly expensive either, coming in at ¥11,000. It’s definitely a fair price for such an item. The blade will be available for sale through Premium Bandai‘s website and will be shipping later in the year. If you’re looking to get your hands on this, I would recommend that you reach out to a friend or a proxy who can place an order for you. If you consider the popularity of the series, this is likely to sell out in an instant. I have yet to find any international services that will offer a sale on the replica.
