Ten Minutes of Scarlet Nexus Shown Off On Xbox Series X Launch Stream

Scarlet Nexus

When Sony announced the PlayStation 5 and Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X, there was a game that caught my eye more so than others, and that was Scarlet Nexus. The game reminds me of a cross between God Eater, Code Vein, and the Tales series which makes me a very happy camper as I love all three titles. But what I didn’t see, was a good amount of gameplay that really made me want to purchase the game when I got my next-generation consoles. That all changed today with the Microsoft Xbox Series X/S Launch Stream where Bandai Namco Games showed off 10 minutes of gameplay with the female protagonist of Scarlet Nexus, Kasane.

Scarlet Nexus Enemy Character

In the preview, we see a number of new locations that we haven’t seen before in previous trailers or teasers of the game such as the hideout, as well as the ability to give gifts to your allies to assist them in battle, and lastly, we got a bigger overview of the world of Scarlet Nexus which was inspired by 90s Japan with its neo-futuristic vibe. But the key point of this trailer was to show off how the female protagonist, Kasane, plays in battle.

The above video is set to play at the Scarlet Nexus portion of the live stream where the moderator of the live stream is talking directly with the Scarlet Nexus team. They talk about the game, its setting, as well as how the party system works. It really seems like Scarlet Nexus is shaping up to be a really good game and one that I look forward to playing once it releases.

We still don’t have a release date for Scarlet Nexus, but seeing that we’re already at the tail-end of 2020, I think it’s safe to say that we’re going to be getting the newest creation from the TALES team sometime mid 2021 if I were to be a betting man. Gaming wise, 2021 is shaping up to be a good year, it seems.
