With the recent announcement that EVANGELION 3.0+1.0 will be releasing to Japanese theatres on 8 March 2021, the accompanying soundtrack Shiro SAGIRU Music from ‘SHIN EVANGELION’ announcement was right around the corner. Initially slated to be released on 10 February 2021, the album will now be out on 17 March 2021, just a week and a half after the premiere of the final EVANGELION movie.
Shiro SAGIRU Music from ‘SHIN EVANGELION’ is the official soundtrack for the movie composed by Shiro Sagisu, who has been writing music since the beginning of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The album will contain 54 full-size songs from the movie and will be released as a three-CD set. It also includes 64 pages of liner notes written by Shiro Sagisu himself for this production. The liner booklet is a must-have for fans, as it contains everything from explanations of the songs to secret stories about the production, allowing you to learn more about the songs.
The first pressing of the book comes with a special box that has some tricks you can enjoy when you open it up, so fans of the series have some treats to be excited for.
With the release of EVANGELION 3.0+1.0 finally coming, fans of the series will finally get to see what happens in, what is expected to be, the grand conclusion to the series.
Shiro SAGIRU Music from ‘SHIN EVANGELION’ will be available at all major music stores throughout Japan. As of the time of this writing, there is no information whether the album will be available on streaming platforms such as Apple Music or Spotify, but fingers crossed, we will all get that sooner rather than later.
