It wasn’t that long ago that Tokyo based fashion brand Subciety released a collection of official Evangelion goods with the Radio Eva store. Now they’re dipping their toes into another legendary anime property with the announcement of a new collection based on the recently released Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045.
The new collection features 4 pieces that incorporate iconography from the show alongside the brilliant key art from series character designer Ilya Kuvshinov.
Kicking things off is a zip parka that features the original Makoto Kusanagi key artwork released after the announcement of the anime. The piece is available in 3 colors (white, black, purple) in a standard range of sizes and will set you back ¥15,400.
Next up is a long sleeve of the same design, available in the same colors & sizes for ¥9,350. This is my favorite piece in the line when factoring both cut and the art/design being employed. The purple colorway is extremely fitting and absolutely stands out to me.
Since these are dropping in Summer you would expect a few short-sleeve options, starting with their “Ghost in the Subciety” t-shirt. This comes in 2 different black colorways and a white colorway, size S-XL and runs ¥7,150. This design is on the simple side, but the use of colors to offset the text on the black/orange and white designs work incredibly well.
Lastly is another shirt featuring an image of Major Kusanagi available in the same color range as the parka & long sleeve. The rear of the design features the iconic plugs found on characters in the series who have adopted a cyber-brain or any other enhancements. Like the other shirt in the line, this one runs ¥7,150.
The collection is currently up for pre-order on the Subciety online shop until May 27th and will begin shipping in May.
