The Ghost in the Shell series has some technology that you really wish existed in real life. I mean, who wouldn’t want to have their own Tachikoma? Today, your dream is about to partially turn into reality with this new official Tachikoma Back Scratcher. It was announced this morning by a maker under the name of Empty.
The actual back scratcher is almost exactly what you would expect it to be, a stick based back scratcher that is based on one of Tachikoma’s arms that can extend to help you scratch those places on your back that are just too hard to reach with your limited human arms. The back scratcher extends to be 68 centimeters long (approx. 2.2 feet long) and has three small Tachikoma fingers on the end of the ball joint to help you get the job done.
The Tachikoma Back Scratcher is available on Amazon Japan and it looks like it’s even eligible for purchase through Amazon Global. If you happen to be in the market for a back scratcher and are a fan of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, this might be right up your alley. It’s got a fair price too, coming in at ¥2,860 (Approx $25 USD). The item will start shipping on 30 June 2021.
