Now that the second season of The Quintessential Quintuplets has wrapped up in Japan as of last week, I’m sure there are many people wondering what’s going to be happening with the series going forward. Well, I’m happy to share the news with you that TBS Animation and the series official Twitter account announced today that The Quintessential Quintuplets is officially getting a sequel.
The following video was also posted on the TBS Animation official YouTube Channel.
The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Tobun no Hanayome) is a Japanese manga and anime series written by Negi Haruba. The title joined Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2017 and has a total of 13 tankobon volumes. The series is also available to read in English via Kodansha USA and to view on Crunchyroll and Funimation. The official synopsis of the series is as follows:
One day, a poor high school second-year named Futaro Uesugi comes across a private tutoring gig with good pay. But his pupils are his classmates!! And they’re quintuplets!! A-and they’re all gorgeous girls, but they’re also troublemakers who hate to study and are on the verge of flunking out! And his first task is simply gaining the sisters’ trust?! Every day is a party! The curtain is rising on the Nakano quintuplets’ quirky romantic comedy with five times the cute!!
As of the time of this writing, there is no news when the sequel for The Quintessential Quintuplets is set to hit Japanese airwaves, but I’m sure we’ll be getting some more information about the upcoming anime series soon.
