tricot Release Latest “Daihatsumei” Music Video Ahead of New Album “Repeat”

Earlier this week Japanese math-rock band tricot again blew me away with their latest music video for “Daihatsumei”. Released ahead of the band’s upcoming album “Repeat”, the latest track is everything I could possibly hope for from tricot and so much more. Uploaded to YouTube via Japan Music System, the all-new music video can be streamed below:

I listened to math-rock band tricot for pretty much the entirety of my late teenage years, and have never once regretted the amount of time I actually spent pressing repeat. It was actually during a discussion earlier today that I realized the exact year I started listening was 2013, so for six years now I’ve been blessed with the incredible work of one of Japan’s most dynamic bands.

Their latest “Daihatsumei” comes straight off of tricot’s upcoming “Repeat”, clocking in as the album’s second track. Set to release in Japan on March 20, the five-track album will also kickstart a nationwide tour with a total of six stops in six major cities. The details on this upcoming tour, as well as the full tracklist for “Repeat” can be found below:
